Position Summary:

The Content Operations Specialist plays a critical support role within the Marketing & Communications (MarComm) team by managing the operational, technical, and logistical aspects of content creation. This includes oversight of studio resources, coordination of equipment usage, preparation of physical spaces for filming or content capture, and implementation of best practices for media organization and storage. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and technically proficient, with a service-minded approach to supporting both the content and video teams.


  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all phases of content production, including pre-production planning, and on-set operation of camera, lighting, teleprompter, and audio recording equipment.
  • Manage and maintain the in-house filming studio, including scheduling, preparing the space, ensuring proper upkeep, and processing sessions for post-production.
  • Handle inventory, storage, and check-in/check-out processes for Marcomm-owned video, lighting, and audio gear, available to internal staff and approved contractors.
  • Provide recommendations and assist with purchasing new video equipment, following procurement procedures and best practices in financial stewardship.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of protocols for editors around file management, project organization, metadata handling, and archiving.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the in-house studio, including scheduling, setup, tear down, and equipment prep for content sessions (photo, video, podcast, etc.).
  • Manage inventory, maintenance, and check-in/check-out procedures for MarComm-owned equipment (e.g., cameras, lights, stands, audio gear).
  • Organize and maintain digital media storage systems, assisting with file transfers, backups, naming conventions, and metadata tagging.
  • Collaborate with the video and content teams to ensure media assets are properly archived, searchable, and retrievable for future use.
  • Assist in onboarding and training staff, interns, and approved contractors on proper use of equipment and studio protocols.
  • Provide operational support during content shoots (e.g., moving gear, managing power, setting up cables, assisting talent with logistics).
  • Stay informed on emerging technologies, tools, and practices related to studio operations, content logistics, and digital asset management.
  • Uphold and model Christ-like character by demonstrating humility, integrity, and a servant-hearted approach to team collaboration.
  • Support general production tasks as directed by the Digital Content Manager, when needed.

Requirements

Job-related Qualifications:


Education, Training, and Experience

  • Candidate has 3+ years of professional video experience.
  • BA/BS degree in Production, Media, Communication or related field preferred but not required.

  

Job Skills, Knowledge, Abilities

  • Experience with multi camera and single camera production environments.
  • Experience with digital matrix intercom system operation and maintenance.
  • Understanding of non-linear edit system requirements and workflows, large media storage and archival systems operation, maintenance.
  • Proficiency with large-format digital video routing systems and digital audio distribution systems.
  • Some experience with fiber optic cable maintenance.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize assignments, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Read, write, spell, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Work productively, both independently and collaboratively with others.
  • Follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office for MAC (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to recognize and maintain confidentiality as appropriate.
  • Technical ability to work on a variety of sound/video/lighting systems.
  • Shop experience, managing inventory, soldering, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance.

  • Attendance at all mandatory meetings and events. This includes serving at Good Friday, Easter and Christmas services as well as the annual volunteer appreciation event.
  • Member of the Rock Church (or willing to transfer membership to the Rock Church).
  • Regular involvement in Rock Church activities, ministries and events.
  • Signed acknowledgment of the Rock’s Statement of Faith.
  • Ability to interpret and adhere to the Rock’s policies, procedures and employee handbook.
  • Be self-motivated and goal oriented, use good judgment, and be flexible and innovative.
  • Professional attitude and demeanor.

  

Physical Requirements:
