Job Title: Treasury Services Sales Officer
Department: Treasury Services
Reports to: Treasury Services Sales Team Leader
Summary:
Responsible for delivering a consultative sales approach of Treasury Services (TS) products and services to an assigned commercial customer group(s). The Treasury Services Sales Officer is responsible for effectively selling GBC’s depository and treasury services to existing and prospective customers, either in conjunction with Relationship Managers or on an individual basis. Goals will include achieving deposit and fee income goals and customer retention goals by providing a superior level of relationship management and customer service. Responsible for development and retention of TS business for an assigned customer base and market segment. Responsible for meeting annual sales goals and sales activity objectives by developing and executing a strategy to retain and fully penetrate existing relationships. Provides training on TS products and services to relationship managers and other partners as needed. Work across business lines and departments to ensure a superior client experience.
Specific Job Functions:
- Executes sales plans, develops strong partnerships and collaborates with lines of business and other internal partners to identify and drive customer and prospect sales opportunities to achieve/exceed deposit and portfolio growth objectives for assigned customer portfolio.
- Fosters relationships with Relationship Managers, Customer Support team(s) and Product partners to deliver a superior client experience.
- Develops sales proposals and pricing proformas for prospective and existing customers to further develop and strengthen business relationships.
- Participates in the development of detailed relationship plans for customers/prospects to identify key retention and new customer acquisition opportunities and conducts annual treasury management reviews for top tier commercial customers
- Proactively reviews assigned customer base and identifies deposit and treasury management services solutions and cross-sell opportunities based on customer needs and completes the sale. Refers and engages business partners across GBC to drive corporate goals.
- Adheres to and follows all applicable bank policies and procedures, including proactively escalating issues and risks to leadership's attention
- Consults with customers through various methods of communication in an effective manner (e.g., In person, email, voicemail, virtual meetings, etc.).
- Responsible for accurate reporting of sales pipeline, sales effort progression, and sales revenue
- Prepare contracts and implementation documentation in accordance with all
- account opening / ownership verification processes to ensure treasury management services set-up for completeness, accuracy and conformance with applicable rules/regulations and procedural requirements.
- Responsible for thorough and timely delivery of treasury services to meet client expectations.
- Ability to work independently, exercising independent judgment, referencing available resources, and demonstrating a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be a team player with the willingness to take on tasks outside of their normal job duties and assist where/when needed.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree is required. MBA or advanced degree is desirable.
- CTP or other financial industry certifications preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a treasury management/commercial banking sales role, with proven success.
- Strong knowledge of a wide array of Treasury Management products, common industry software, risk management and bank operations.
