Role overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Graduate Engineer Trainee to join our Project Engineering team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a fresh engineering graduate to gain hands-on exposure to project execution, documentation management, procurement support, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, the GET will learn and contribute across different phases of the project lifecycle.
Scope of Responsibilities (Under Guidance):
Assist in creating and maintaining the Master Document Register in coordination with the Project Team.
Support communication with internal teams, suppliers, inspection agencies, and clients for smooth documentation flow.
Learn and follow document control procedures for numbering, formatting, review, distribution, and archiving.
Help process incoming and outgoing documentation such as drawings, BOQs, purchase orders, and invoices.
Participate in ensuring the latest approved versions of documents are properly distributed and accessible.
Assist in preparing weekly/monthly project reports.
Learn to monitor the review and approval process of technical documents as per the project schedule.
Support procurement activities including enquiry floating, bid tabulation preparation, and purchase order follow-up.
Help manage sub-vendor documentation, inspection reports, and release notes.
Assist in dispatch coordination and logistics for bought-out items.
Contribute to preparing meeting minutes, tracking action items, and maintaining effective communication workflows.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Strong academic foundation with a keen interest in project engineering, documentation, and procurement processes.
Basic understanding of engineering drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications (will be trained further).
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with MS Project is an added advantage.
Good communication skills with a willingness to learn and collaborate.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to adapt quickly, work in a team environment, and follow instructions effectively.
