Case Manager Supervisor for Adult Services
One Full-Time, Non-Exempt Position. Up to 40 hours per week.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with flexible hours based on operational needs.
Hiring Range: $24.75-$26.98 per hour, depending on qualifications
This position will remain open until the position is filled.
Minimum Requirements:
Option 1:Minimum of one year experience with the IDD population AND bachelor’s degree and two years experience in case management and/or supervision.
Option 2: Four years related experience in case management and/or supervision.

Position Summary
The Case Manager Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Program Manager in supervising case managers with their caseloads by providing support, direction, and oversight.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide case management training, supervision and support to employees with a special emphasis on behavioral/crisis interventions and compliance with quality care standards.
2. Provide direct supervision of assigned employees within the program by assisting the manager in interviewing, hiring; conducting performance appraisals; preparing and/or recommending disciplinary action or corrective action plans and recognitions for employees; and providing ongoing training.
3. Responsible for carrying out a caseload and performing the duties of the Case Manager Position description as needed.
4. Under direct supervision of Manager/Director aids in appropriate placement of adults into Ariel residential services.
5. Provide coordination and oversight support for the Children's Habilitation and Residential Program (CHRP) as assigned, including collaboration with other Ariel programs on cross program placements, compliance monitoring, and quality assurance activities.
6. Assist Case Managers in the coordination of services for new individuals receiving services.
7. Communicate effectively with all areas of Ariel.
8. Assist the Director/Manager in developing and implementing new and existing programs.
9. Actively participate in program evaluation, ensure program quality assurance and development.
10. Represent Ariel Clinical Services by acting as a liaison to local human service agencies and state level agencies, as required.
11. Ensure agency compliance with Volume 16 regulations.
12. Conduct internal investigations regarding individual abuse or neglect allegations as required.
13. Maintain a positive relationship with referring agencies.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
1. Must work closely with other Ariel Programs and offices.
2. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
1. The ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written format in both individual and group settings.
2. Ability to be flexible, and able to change direction rapidly.
3. Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, complete a wide variety of tasks in a timely and accurate fashion and direct others, as needed.
4. Basic computer knowledge.
5. Must be available outside of traditional office hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to perform the functions of the position.
6. Strong knowledge of the type of work Ariel participates in.
7. Ability to exercise independent judgment within the scope and boundaries of the program, the Agency’s Standard Operating Procedures, and Federal, State and Local Rules and Regulations regarding program operations.
8. Ability to organize and present case material in a straight forward and concise written manner such that communication among team members is clear concerning the client/family.
9. Knowledge of basic tenets and interventions of intensive home based services.
10. Knowledge of community resources (social, health care, public agency, and information) in order to assist families in accessing these resources.
11. Ability to provide reliable, insured transportation for self and others through the community served.
Requirements
Education and Experience
Required:
Option 1: Minimum of one year experience with the Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities population AND bachelor’s degree and two years experience in case management and/or supervision.
OR
Option 2: Four years related experience in case management and/or supervision.
Preferred/Competencies:
• Demonstrated experience utilizing mental health, behavioral interventions, and/or evidence-based practices.
• Quality assurance experience in care delivery
• Demonstrated experience providing training related to I/DD and/or Human Services topics.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises Case Managers and Case Management Aides.
Certifications/Licenses obtained previously or may be obtained within 90 days of hire:
1. Valid Regular Driver’s License, with acceptable driving record. Must have valid driver's license at hire.
2. Safety Care/CPI or any de-escalation training

4. CPR and First Aid
Physical Demands
1. This position requires that the incumbent be capable of bending, sitting, stretching, and/or reaching regularly for periods up to two hours without a break.
2. This position requires that the incumbent have adequate hand and finger dexterity to properly perform the functions of the position.
3. This position requires lifting regularly up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds.
4. This position requires the ability to hear, see, smell and distinguish temperature, at a level which is adequate to ensure client and staff health and safety. Adaptive devices are acceptable.
5. This position may require daily driving of up to one hour per day and occasionally up to eight hours per day.
6. Climbing may be required from time to time.
Work Environment
1. Exposure to typical climate controlled office environment when in the office.
2. Exposure to all climates and weather conditions while working in the office.
3. Exposure to blood borne pathogens and infectious disease is possible, but limited.
4. Exposure to hazardous chemicals is possible, but limited.
