The Practice Manager II oversees the operations of an assigned medical practice. In this role, the incumbent's primary duties involve strategic planning, clinical support staff oversight and financial and outcome performance management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversee clinical operations and clinical support staff of a practice with four to seven (4-7) physicians
- Ensure smooth efficient operations and communication with patients, vendors, and all staff
- Monitor performance of management team to ensure optimal patient flow and patient satisfaction
- Manage and monitor to ensure achievement of budgeted financial and performance goals
- Responsibility for financial performance and outcomes of assigned practice
- Oversight of clinical support staff hours/lunch/breaks and within scheduled hours (no OT)
- Monitor all role responsibilities of direct reports.
- Ensure excellent customer service; ensure clinical staff is delivering timely check in/out, appropriate collections, appropriate medical support and care, excellent in person and via phone customer service.
- Work with management team to develop and assist with training needs as they arise.
- Oversee and ensure applicable training for all clinical support associates based on roles
- Oversee and ensure billing training as necessary
- Random auditing of performance in EMR to identify training needs
- Ensure associates model and follow all customer service skills, insurance verification, collections, and appropriate scheduling follow up, lab, ultrasound etc. and phone skills
- Team Building
- Advertise/Interview/Hire as needed/ Oversee supervisors hiring in their departments
- Performance Reviews/Performance Plans for direct reports outlined above
- Oversee appropriate work performance issues -- discipline documentation
- Liaison to patients and providers to ensure overall patient satisfaction
- Handle staff and patient complaints
- Handle on site vendors, repairs, and all aspects of the physical buildings for day-to-day operations.
- Ensure safety training and policies are followed.
- Ensure all staff are trained HIPAA experts and enforce HIPAA regulatory requirements
