- A degree (or equivalent experience) in journalism, communications, public relations, or a related discipline
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects
- A proactive, self-motivated approach and a willingness to take initiative
- Support the development and delivery of internal communications campaigns and initiatives
- Liaise with senior leaders to craft compelling messages and updates
- Assist in the creation of content for internal channels including newsletters, intranet, and video
- Contribute to media relations efforts, including drafting press releases and media pitches
- Monitor media coverage and support the press office with reactive and proactive communications
- Assist in planning and creating content for Illumina’s social media platforms
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent messaging and brand alignment
- Support the planning and execution of internal and external events
- Help manage logistics, communications, and post-event follow-up
- Provide day-to-day support across the communications function
- Contribute creative ideas to enhance engagement and storytelling
