Position Summary
The Personal Banker position is a sales-through-service position that utilizes effective probing questions and active listening to identify opportunities and recommend solutions that benefit the member and deepen their relationship with the Credit Union. This position is responsible for providing a superior banking experience for the members of Amplify through engagements that are primarily conducted face-to-face, but increasingly by email and by phone. Interactions should personify our brand and create memorable, long lasting relationships. Efforts are primarily focused internally.
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as assigned.

Consistently demonstrate a consultative approach to service / sales, identifying member needs and offering solutions that benefit the member and deepen their relationship with Amplify

Work hand-in-hand with Business Partners (Wealth Management, Mortgage Lending, and Commercial Lending) to offer member holistic solutions

Actively support branch operations as needed, to include teller transaction processing, branch balancing, assisting branch leadership with self-audit, etc.

Establish new memberships and open the full scope of accounts / account types offered by Amplify

Perform account maintenance, respond to member inquiries, and originate consumer loan applications

Serve as the primary on-the-job in-branch trainer for routine Teller and Banker duties

Exercise good judgment to make sound decisions that help member and support organizational objectives

Champion organizational culture both internally and externally; consistently demonstrate Amplify’s service standards

Upholds credit union policies and procedures and champions organizational culture both internally and externally
Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED), plus one year of successful financial institution or sales-related experience preferred, including identifying opportunities and adding value by cross selling products and services. This position requires a desire to help others and a willingness to have discussions with members regarding their financial well-being.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Must be bondable.
Software and Equipment Requirements
To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of an be proficient in the use of a personal computer, Microsoft Office products, and the use of a telephone. Knowledge and use of a 10-key is helpful.
Other Qualifications
Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends. Must have or quickly obtain working knowledge of Credit Union’s products & services, policies, standard operating procedures, and State and Federal regulations.

Starting Pay & Benefits
This role offers a base rate of $25.65 per hour. It also entails the benefits available to all Amplify employees, including a 401(k) with a company match of 100% on the first 5% you contribute.
Location
You will work at one of our four branch locations: Esperanza, Pond Springs, La Frontera, and Cedar Park.
