Homeoffice Special Education Teacher- 50%FTE-Pine Valley na Julian Charter School - San Diego County

JCS was established in November 1999 (under a management organization) as a K-12 non-classroom based charter school. In 2000, the School, as a 501(c)(3) organization, incrementally began taking ownership of curriculum, instruction and assessment; finance, facilities, and business management; and organization, governance, and administration becoming a fully independent, direct funded, incorporated charter school by the 2002-2003 school year. From inception, the School was designed to meet the needs of students under served by traditional delivery systems of education or for families with a strong desire to home school. The School received an initial charter for two years and has had three additional five-year renewals.

The Special education Teacher will provide quality services to special education students grades kindergarten through grade twelve. Planning and implementation of student programs includes special instruction, tutorial assistance, and consultation to general education staff.

In addition to a resume and letter of introduction, we require three letters of recommendation, a current negative TB test, current CPR certification, and copies of all college transcripts to be uploaded at the time of application. JCS-Pine Valley is currently seeking a Part-time (50%) Special Education Teacher serving students with special needs at our schools located in Pine Valley, CA. This position will be a Virtual position, approximately 20 hours/week.. JCS Pine Valley is a TK-12 public charter school sponsored by MEUSD. We have both a home study program and an academy program. TK-12 home study families meet regularly with a credentialed teachers to go over assignments and curriculum. There are a variety of opportunities and resources available. Academy students attend classes 4 days per week and have assignments to complete at home the other day of the week. Students and services are spread out throughout San Diego County. For all students TK-12 we encourage global awareness and strive to step into the world around us through field trips and activities. Students have the opportunity to play intramural sports with JCS or high school sports with Mountain Empire High School.
