Are you passionate about supporting students with autism in a dynamic, collaborative environment? CCIU is seeking an Autism Support Specialist to work in our elementary autistic support classrooms within Reading School District. This position focuses on providing coaching and direct support to staff and students using evidence-based strategies, including Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and verbal behavior principles. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for students with autism.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Edducation or related field required
- Background in verbal behavior and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide support and coaching to elementary autistic support classrooms.
- Implement strategies based on verbal behavior and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Collaborate with teachers and therapists to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with building and district administration regarding student progress, program updates, and any issues that may arise.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Contribute to a safe and inclusive classroom environment.
- Foster positive working relationships through effective communication with parents, staff, and other professionals involved in the student’s education.
Salary & Schedule beginning 2025-26 School Year (Professional): - $58,751 to $88,563 - Instructional I Certification
- $61,300 to $92,110 - Instructional II Certification
- $65,394 to $100,586 - Master's Degree
- $69,938 to $106,442 - Masters + 30
