Responsibilities:

Spirit Airlines is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Material Logistics Comail Specialist to join our dynamic Material Operations team. This role is essential in ensuring the efficient handling and movement of aircraft parts, company materials, and supplies across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring warehouse inventory experience, strong computer proficiency, and excellent communication skills to support logistics operations across all Spirit Airlines departments. 

 

Starting Pay: $18.00/hr

 

Daily Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage the shipping, receiving, stocking, and distribution of company materials. 
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels for packing and shipping materials to ensure material availability and prevent operational disruptions. 
  • Prepare Comail logistics and material movements that support all Spirit Airlines teams. 
  • Prepare and process Dangerous Goods Declarations in compliance with regulatory standards. 
  • Ensure accurate and complete documentation for international customs clearance and airway bill entries. 
  • Collaborate with internal departments to coordinate logistics for company events and operational needs. 
  • Prepares dangerous goods declaration for outbound shipment, Airwaybills, and import/export for material shipments.  
  • Packs and tender dangerous good shipments and reviews dangerous goods outbound shipment checklists. 
  • Separates dangerous goods before placing into stock.
  • Identifies and handles hazardous materials following DOT, EPA and OSHA regulations. 
  • Monitors and actions materials request via email.
  • Maintains integrity of the inventory by actioning controls around warehouse and stockrooms.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace by warehouse and stockroom housekeeping.  
  • Adheres to safety precautions when operating a forklift or hand pallet jack to handle bulk shipping and receiving. 
  • May perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned. 
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess inventory experience in a warehouse setting, must be comfortable with computers, general office tasks, and excel at both verbal and written communication. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, self-driven, and reliable. Candidates should be professional, polite, and attentive while also ensuring accuracy. 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High School or GED certification. 
  • Must be 18 Years or Older. 
  • Must have a valid Non-Restricted Driver’s License.
  • Must have the ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, holidays, weekends, and extended hours, as required.
  • Proficient with computers, basic knowledge of word editing software, inventory sheets and email management. 
  • Warehouse Operations Knowledge, experienced with shipping, receiving and stocking practices. 
  • Ability to multi-task with several assignments at the same time, deliver positive results, and shift focus to new task while keeping productivity and without losing sight of general goals. 
  • Detail-oriented and dependable: able to produce accurate work and complete all assigned tasks. 
  • Able to lift 50lbs and stand during extended period of time and able to endure temperature changes and outside work. 
  • Must be present at the worksite 100% of time.
  • Ability to hold airport specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 0-2+ years in a warehouse environment; logistics; inventory control
  • Inventory background experience.
