This role in summary
This role involves daily management of projects according to the established launch plan for assigned commodities, components, and initiatives. It requires active participation in project and leadership meetings to ensure alignment and progress. The position is responsible for resolving launch readiness issues while ensuring that cost, schedule, and quality objectives are met. Additionally, the role includes implementing cost and quality improvements to existing models to support performance and financial goals. Managing multiple projects simultaneously and balancing competing priorities is essential to meet all key milestones. The position also involves validating and approving capital and expense expenditures, including tooling and equipment, as well as traveling to suppliers for face-to-face reviews and readiness assessments. Regular interaction with manufacturing plants is expected to support collaboration
Your responsibilities will include
Manage launch, cost, and quality projects throughout product lifecycles to achieve unit cost targets, quality targets, and maintain program timing for assigned commodities.
· Develop detailed action plan for each supplier to meet project deliverables.
· Coordinate internal deliverables to suppliers – demand planning, designs, quality, cost targets.
· Track and evaluate supplier activities against their launch plan.
· Monitor supplier quality deliverables.
· Validate, kick-off, and track supplier capital &; tooling.
· Lead &; coordinate day-to-day activities during the new model transition process for the supplier and cross-functional internal team – Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing.
· Monitor and track key performance indicators for assigned commodities.
Minimum requirements
· 3+ years’ experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or Project Management.
. Advanced English (fluent)
· Bachelor’s degree
Preferred skills and experiences
Demonstrated use of project management skills.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and use conflict resolution skills.
Ability to build strong relationships with internal process partners and suppliers.
Manage ambiguity via strong analytical skills, critical thinking, and business acumen.
Ability to manage and execute multiple key activities and competing priorities.
On path to developing technical capability to become a subject matter expert.
Ability to drive results through others.
Ability to track KPIs and provide regular updates to key stakeholders.
