POSITION DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Maintenance Technician I
Department: Facilities
Reports to: Facilities Shift Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. The Maintenance Tech I is also responsible for the adherence to customer courtesy skills to assure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience. This position is classified as a Safety Sensitive position. It is a position where the team member holding this position has the responsibility for his/her own safety and the safety of others.
ESSENTIAL POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
- Perform maintenance as instructed by the Facilities Manager, Facilities Shift Manager and/or Lead personnel.
- Work effectively and courteously with fellow employees.
- Basic knowledge of the HVAC systems, generator and fire safety systems.
- Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
- Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
- Responsible for general maintenance of all Company owned facilities and the property itself
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on systems with instruction from supervisory personnel.
- Operate all types of hand tools, power tools and machinery as may be necessary.
- Use chemicals in a safe manner utilizing all safety precautions.
- Operate lifts and company equipment in a safe manner.
- Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
- Responsible for alerting supervisory personnel of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or that may occur.
- May be responsible to assist or complete the duties and responsibilities of the Groundskeeper position.
- Complete special projects or other responsibilities as may be determined.
- Adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.
- Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. overhead, arms-length up to 20 lbs. with or without assistance.
Mental Demands:
- The ability to perform basic oral & written communication, concentration, perception, working with interruptions, calculating and problem solving.
Work Environment:
- This position requires working inside and outside, exposure to dust/smoke/fumes, exposure to electrical hazards, working in hot/cold temperatures, exposure to chemicals and noise.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience/Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Zero to two years of experience in facilities maintenance or a combination of education/experience.
Knowledge:
- Ability to read, write and understand simple instructions.
- Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements.
- Knowledgeable of personal protective equipment.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, heating and air-conditioning.
Other:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming License.
- Must have and maintain a driver’s license.
- Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.
- Must complete all required company training.
