The GME Behavioral Health Faculty is responsible for improving individual performance, meeting and exceeding accreditation/curricular requirements in behavioral health, and facilitating organizational growth and excellence, primarily for the caregivers within the Adena Graduate Medical Education. Core responsibilities are as follows: 1. address physician and resident concerns including, but not limited to, burnout/resilience, interpersonal communication, conflict management, leadership development, inter-professional patient care, diversity, and academic/career advancement. 2. Develop and implement longitudinal curricular strategies such as wellness/well-being, professionalism, leadership/career advancement, and behavioral medicine. 3. Provide resources and consultation to residents regarding the biopsychosocial model of patient care and the management of common mental illnesses. This individual will report in a matrixed structure, reporting directly to the Director of Graduate Medical Education.

Required Educational Degree:
Psychology PhD or PsyD

Major/Area of Concentration:
Psychology or Industrial/Organizational Psychology

Preferred Certifications, Credentials and Licenses:
Coaching Certification (EQ/MBTI/DiSC/Workplace Big 5), professional practice license

Required Experience:
3-5 years Coaching individuals, teams, providers, and/or executives. 3-5 years Leadership/Management Position. 3-5 years Graduate Medical Education Advisor and Leadership Experience.

Job Specific Essential Functions:

  1. Identifies learning needs of individuals, groups, and the organization and provides interventions to improve performance
  2. Supports physician engagement and cultural initiatives through coaching, consulting, instructing and evaluating
  3. Develops programs, curriculum, and support materials for training and interventions
  4. Serves as coach and development advisor for physicians, providers, and residents
  5. Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions and recommends and implements changes
  6. Manages special projects, events, and/or area of responsibility in a productive and efficient manner
  7. Collaborates with all areas of the organization in promoting a learning environment
