The Financial Analyst will support the organization by providing financial insights and projections to guide decision-making and strategic planning. This role is responsible for analyzing financial data, conducting credit analyses, supporting pricing strategies, preparing reports, and identifying trends to improve financial performance.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Analyze financial data and performance metrics to support strategic planning and budgeting
- Conduct credit analysis to assess customer risk, set credit limits, and support collection efforts
- Evaluate pricing structures and provide recommendations to improve margin and profitability
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Build and maintain financial models for forecasting, scenario planning, and investment analysis
- Monitor variances between actual results and forecasts; identify and explain key trends
- Collaborate with business units to provide financial and pricing support
- Assist in developing annual budgets and long-term financial plans
- Ensure accuracy of financial information and compliance with company policies
- Support audits and internal reviews by providing necessary data and analysis
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling
- Familiarity with financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information clearly
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or CPA/CFA a plus)
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, including credit evaluation and pricing analysis
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per day, at a desk in front of a computer screen.
- Proficient use of a keyboard, mouse, and monitor, as well as the ability to type, scroll, and click efficiently.
- Occasional light lifting and carrying of objects up to 20 pounds, such as office supplies or small equipment.
- Ability to move within an office, including occasional walking, bending, reaching, and climbing short flights of stairs.
- Clear communication, both verbal and written, including phone conversations, virtual meetings, and face-to-face.
- Adequate vision to read documents, use computer screens, and navigate office space.
- Ability to work in an environment with moderate noise, such as printers, telephones, and office conversations.
- May require the use of various warehouse equipment, such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
- Good visual acuity is required to read labels, signage, and scanners, as well as the ability to differentiate between colors. Adequate hearing is necessary for safety signals and communications within a potentially noisy environment.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse setting that can have fluctuating temperatures, dust, and varying noise levels.
- Must be able to wear required protective equipment and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
COMPENSATION:
$65,000 - $85,000 Annually
