Please note that relocation to New Orleans, Louisiana is mandatory if selected for this position. All candidates must be willing and able to relocate as a condition of employment.

So, what will a Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) Program Manager do?
The Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) ProgramManager will be tasked with conducting audits, performing necessary physical inspections of equipment, and mentoring MARFORRES Marines on corrosion control. The goal is to ensure that MARFORRES units are fully prepared and operationally capable in terms of materiel readiness, with a particular focus on corrosion prevention management.
What does a typical day look like for a Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) Program Manager?
You will:
- Assume the role of key support to MARFORRES, specializing in CPAC. Your expertise will encompass fundamental aspects of CPAC, detailed strategies for Organizational and Field CPAC, and the effective implementation of CPAC.
- Educate subordinate units about CPAC through over-the-shoulder training at using unit locations.
- As required, provide on-site analysis/assistance to the using units within MARFORRES, which includes providing statistics and reports on their status and instructions on correcting deficiencies as necessary.
- Maintain continuous communication with MARFORRES, MSCs, and appropriate points of contact. The contractors will need to have a working relationship with personnel from MARFORRES and the Major Support Commands.
- Participate in periodic internal and external meetings to facilitate training covering CPAC and equipment sustainment.
- Provide independent analysis of the equipment sustainment processes within MARFORRES and provide analysis to appropriate organizations within the Force.
- Assist in maintaining the CPAC database.
- Provide input and support for updates to the MARFORRES Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Provide tailored training and mentoring to MARFORRES units to ensure compliance with CPAC orders, directives, and policies to enhance equipment sustainability and readiness of the force.
- Audit records as required and conduct training as required via the “right seat left seat” concept.
- Analyze equipment for corrosion issues, prioritize corrosion prevention, and control in program planning, and develop strategies to mitigate corrosion in both newly fielded and existing equipment.
- Record equipment corrosion conditions to establish the current state and drive future condition-based maintenance requirements.
- Identify gaps, assess future needs, and refine strategies to address the evolving challenges in corrosion prevention and control, especially in harsh operating environments.
- Engage CPAC customers for potential product identification.
- Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
- 5+ years of Marine Corps experience in corrosion prevention/control or maintenance management as a Senior Staff NCO or Officer.
- Familiarity with Marine Corps logistics and maintenance systems (GCSS-MC, MOL, etc.).
- Demonstrated understanding of DoD and USMC corrosion prevention policies and practices (e.g., DoDI 5000.67, MCO 4790.20).
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with CPAC program execution at the unit or headquarters level.
What qualifications do you look for?
You might be the professional we’re looking for if you have:
- Authorization to permanently work in the United States without sponsorship.
- 5+ years of Marine Corps experience in corrosion prevention/control or maintenance management as a Senior Staff NCO or Officer.
- Familiarity with Marine Corps logistics and maintenance systems (GCSS-MC, MOL, etc.).
- Demonstrated understanding of DoD and USMC corrosion prevention policies and practices (e.g., DoDI 5000.67, MCO 4790.20).
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Experience with CPAC program execution at the unit or headquarters level.
- Ability and willingness to travel nationally for two to three weeks each month in support of Corrosion Prevention and Control (CPAC) duties, which include inspecting Marine Corps Reserve installations across the country.
- Prior Marine Corps service in a maintenance or logistics-related MOS (e.g., 0411, 2111, or 2141).
- Certification in corrosion control, such as NACE/AMPP Coating Inspector Program (CIP) or DoD Corrosion Training.
