How you will Make an Impact:
- Ensure We Build it Right: Oversee MEP system installations, ensuring they meet design requirements, Benchmark’s quality standards, and industry codes (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, NEC).
- Preconstruction Expertise: Share your technical expertise in preconstruction planning, constructability reviews, and value engineering—helping to set projects up for success before the first hammer swings.
- MEP Coordination & Documentation: Assist project teams with submittal reviews, shop drawing evaluations, and MEP coordination to ensure everything fits together perfectly—no surprises, just seamless execution.
- Site Inspections & Issue Resolution: Conduct regular site inspections, track and tackle deficiencies, and make sure corrective actions happen fast.
- Startup & Commissioning: Develop MEP Quality Control standards, create startup checklists, and oversee the commissioning of new equipment.
- Teach & Inspire: Lead engaging MEP training sessions that keep our teams sharp, informed, and ahead of industry trends. Because knowledge is power!
- Collaboration & Problem-Solving: Work side by side with Superintendents, Project Managers, Engineers, Subcontractors, and Clients to troubleshoot challenges and turn them into solutions.
- Support Project Success: Help develop shutdown/interruption plans, resolve warranty claims, support procurement, and keep project schedules on track.
What You Bring (Experience & Qualifications):
- Experience that Counts: You’ve got 10+ years in construction and/or a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Technology or Mechanical Engineering. Either way, you know your stuff!
- MEP Mastery: A solid grasp of HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and electrical systems—you understand how they work together to make a building come to life.
- Industry Savvy: You’re well-versed in ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, and ICC codes, ensuring every project meets the highest standards.
- Blueprint Reading Proficiency: Reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents is second nature to you.
- Tech-Savvy Mindset: You’re comfortable using MS Office, Procore, and Finishline to keep projects moving smoothly.
- Analytical & Solutions-Driven: You can anticipate challenges before they happen and tackle them head-on with smart, practical solutions.
