We are seeking a highly-motivated and experienced Branch Manager to lead our Gardena, CA store.
Job Overview:
Branch Managers train, coach and develop associates in multiple positions to ensure customers receive excellent service and can easily find the materials they need. In addition, they are responsible for the day-to-day operations of the store which requires proficiency with computers, point of sale systems, and inventory management. Branch Managers must have strong product knowledge and the ability to lead and develop others.
Essential Job Functions:
- Oversee retail counter and yard duties
- Maintain store/yard appearance & product presentation
- Meet and greet customers; troubleshoot all customer issues and concerns
- Opening and closing assigned store including review and reconciling of daily close-out
- Manage petty cash, submitting receipts for all purchases
- Generate daily recap
- Review equipment checklists, schedule equipment maintenance
- Inputting of all numbers into the P&L, reporting weekly and monthly recap to General Manager
- Control Expenses, reporting any expenses above budget to General Manager, prior to spending
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels; Request orders for Yard Inventory. Process incoming shipments.
- Must be product expert on all lines
- Monthly scheduling for retail & yard employees with General Manager approval
- Conduct monthly safety meetings with retail and yard staff
- Work with General Manager and Purchasing to conduct Quarterly inventory control
- Train new-hires as well as progressive training on all current and new product lines
- Monthly sales review with retail and yard staff
- Create & implement specials, promotions, etc. with General Manager approval
- Schedule product training with vendors
- Work with General Manager to establish annual retail sales goals
- Conduct annual performance evaluations
Required Skills:
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate, delegate, and hold direct reports accountable to daily, weekly and monthly production objectives.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including ability to adapt to various audiences
- Strong analytical and problem solving and skills
- 5+ years of managing retail operations
- 5+ years of inventory management experience
- Proficient with computers and POS systems
