Job Summary:

The Level I Sewing Technician will be responsible for entry level duties in the sew shop as assigned.

Essential Functions:

· Wraps and bands completed synthetic and ENR slings.

· Supports the auto cutter operator in cutting, folding, and marking slings and ENR sleeving material.

· Provides miscellaneous support for processing slings through the production line.

· Attaches tags onto synthetic slings.

· Sews towing products with oversight.

· Sews 1” and 2”, up to 2 plies, synthetic slings with oversight.

· Has a basic understanding of machine mechanics.

· Follows all health/safety rules and best practices.

· Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.

Required Skills/Abilities:

· Ability to operate commercial sewing machines and banders.

· Strong math, reading and communication skills.

· Ability to work independently or in a team in a fast-paced environment.

· Experience with smart phones, computers and software including Microsoft Office.

Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Six months of related warehouse or manufacturing experience required.

Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting, using tools, and performing repetitive actions.

· Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time and 75 pounds max with assistance.

· Must have good hand/eye coordination.

· Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect products/tags/label.
