Job DescriptionScope of WorkObjective: Develop a compelling case study series that highlights Abt's expertise and thought leadership in facilitating successful government-to-government (G2G) transitions and localization efforts within the global health sector. This series will serve to advance Abt's storytelling and positioning as a trusted partner in strengthening local health systems and enabling sustainable, country-owned development.Will cover Abt’s undocumented expertise on the drivers of successful local transitions and G2G programs drawing from results and insights:

  • Tanzania PS3+
  • Senegal G2G
  • Mozambique ECHO
Deliverables:
  • 6 to 8 interviews to inform themes and studies
  • Approximately three 1,500-word web articles on three themes/broader topics identified in interviews highlighting Abt's expertise and impact in government-to-government transitions and localization of global health programs.
  • Together, with an introduction, these compromise one longer (3,000-5,000 word) report when complete. or report synthesizing points under key themes. Then on the website, we break them out into a few pages by topic.
  • Foundational messaging, key talking points to position Abt in these focus areas
Key Activities:
  • Research and Interviews:
  • Conduct in-depth interviews with Abt subject matter experts, project teams, and key government/local stakeholders involved in G2G transitions and localization initiatives.
  • Gather relevant project data, success stories, and lessons learned to inform the
case study development.
  • Review Abt's existing thought leadership, marketing materials, and new business
proposals related to these focus areas.
  • Case Study Development:
  • Craft a series of three case studies that highlight Abt's approach, methodologies,
and impact in facilitating G2G transitions and localization of global health programs.
  • Ensure the case studies showcase Abt's technical expertise, innovative solutions,
and ability to navigate complex political and institutional environments.
  • Emphasize the sustainable outcomes achieved through strengthened local
ownership, capacity, and resilience of health systems. Develop foundational messaging and key talking points that position Abt as a trusted partner in G2G transitions and localization in promoting this content.Technical Skills:
  • Track record of developing global health content for marketing communications strategies and
campaigns.
  • Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; basic design skills (such as PowerPoint) a plus.
  • Deep understanding of USAID priorities and communications needs and preferences
  • Office 365, Microsoft Word
Topical Expertise:
  • Comfortable with global health topics within USAID context
  • 10-15 years performing in this role/discipline
Journalistic sensibilitiesABT ASSISTANCE
  • Abt will identify key informants to interview with emails and background
  • Abt will provide documents to read and reference
