Customer Service Representative

Under the direction of the Location Leader in collaboration with the Customer Service Representative Lead, you will travel to various AgState locations to complete various administrative functions and will be responsible for establishing professional customer relationships.

You will:

  • Serve customers and peers by:
    1. Traveling to AgState locations to provide support and coverage to other locations and Customer Service Representatives. 
    2. Weighing incoming and outgoing loads at scale, record grades, input scale tickets, and file tickets.
    3. Ensuring settlements are made following all state requirements and there isn’t a lien on government hold.  
    4. Responding to customer inquiries at the counter and over the phone regarding such things as statements, sales, bids, grain contracting, grain offers and options.
    5. Collecting and inputting cash receipts received from customers.
    6. Managing inbound grain/ingredient shipments including the coordination of delivery numbers, input of scale tickets daily and verification of accuracy. In on-scale interface system, manage transfer of data.
    7. Preparing and print product invoices including invoices for feed and other miscellaneous sales products.
    8. Invoicing outgoing grain and preparing/input grain transfers.
    9. Reviewing daily scale ticket printout, grain advance listing and 20-day list reports.   Reconcile any differences and prepare corrections and notify appropriate branch locations.
    10. Managing deferred payment contracts for that location.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid driver license and acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Associate degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
