We offer a flexible hybrid work environment, allowing you to enjoy the best of both worlds with 3 days in the office and up to 2 days working remotely each week. This position is in Alexandria, VA.
Some major responsibilities for this position:
- Supervise Daily Accounting Operations
Oversees and monitors the work of senior and staff accountants, ensuring accurate and timely execution of daily accounting tasks including cash flow updates, fund transfers, and journal entries. - Manage Payables and Expense Processing
Responsible for processing and timely payment of executive accounts payable, company credit card expenses, and travel and other expense vouchers. - Coordinate Month-End and Year-End Closings
Leads monthly and annual closing procedures, including account reconciliations and preparation of audit schedules and Federal Form 1099s. - Maintain Fixed Assets and General Ledger Entries
Maintains fixed asset records, prepares depreciation and amortization entries, and generates standard and adjusting journal entries using Lawson general ledger software. - Support Financial Reporting and Budgeting
Assists the Comptroller in preparing interim and year-end audit requirements and contributes to the development of the annual budget.
