OVERVIEW:

The Employment Manager is responsible for being the leader of the recruitment team in HR by performing strategic planning and execution of recruitment efforts that are essential to the hiring process, as well as delegating duties to the team according to guidelines set forth by the Human Director.  This position is responsible for developing the Recruitment Team using a continuous improvement mentality and will work to perpetuate a "Creekstone Proud" culture through attitude and actions.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:                   

  • Plan and perform recruiting activities such as sourcing qualified applicants, advertising, conducting interviews, evaluation of qualifications, candidate employment offers and selection process.
  • Be a key contributor for the development and consistent carrying out of recruiting efforts such as coordinating with multiple staffing agencies, corrections facilities, mobile recruiters, etc. ensuring effective relationship building and measurable results are achieved and that programs are in line with company objectives.
  • Position the Company as the employer of choice in the area by creating a strategic result – oriented advertising campaign and networking within the community.  
  • Will give input on print and online promotional materials and assist in the creation of some of those tools as needed.
  • Continually maintain hiring processes and provide recommendations to management for continual improvement and cost effectiveness of services, programs, and processes.
  • Act as a leader in recruitment by sharing expertise, knowledge, and ideas with fellow teammates as well as other internal stakeholders in the company.
  • Continually develop skill set and job knowledge by participating in conferences, seminars, and other educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks and participation in professional organizations.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, but comparable experience will be considered in lieu of education preference.  
  • 5 years of practical recruitment experience in a manufacturing environment (high volume placement).  Prefer food and beverage industry experience but is not required. 
  • Must be able to effectively plan, schedule and organize multiple recruiting events and activities occurring at the same time. 
  • Able to prioritize, stay on task and meet deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment where change occurs frequently.
  • Position requires active listening, reasoning skills and taking initiative.
  • Thorough understanding of employment laws and required compliance preferred.
  • Required travel to attend events such as college recruiting, job fairs, networking events, etc. on occasion. This may include occasional weekend events.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience with on-line applicant tracking system and Human Resource database system preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in professional settings with the ability to represent the company responsibly.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive data/information appropriately.
