Join the team as we are looking for a maintenance tech to join us ROOST DC! This role is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and functionality of the property, with a focus on light repairs, painting, and housekeeping support. The ideal candidate is proactive, hands-on, and comfortable performing a wide variety of tasks to ensure the property remains clean, well-kept, and in good working condition.
  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform light repairs including painting, patching, unclogging drains, and basic plumbing or electrical tasks.
  • Organize materials, tools, and equipment to perform daily assignments.
  • Replace HVAC filters, light bulbs, and batteries on a regular schedule.
  • Check common areas daily for maintenance needs or safety concerns.
  • Monitor and maintain proper function of equipment and tools.
  • Keep trash rooms and utility closets clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Address any cleanliness concerns reported by guests or staff promptly.

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in hotel maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work (e.g., bending, standing, climbing ladders).
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or with a team.
  • Strong communication and time management skills.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts as needed.
  • Ability to lift, balance and carry up to 25 lbs. to transport carts, cleaning supplies, linen, equipment, etc.
  • Ability to lift, balance and carry (with assistance) up to 100 lbs. to transport mattresses, inventory, equipment, etc.
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods to clean and organize the guest rooms, spaces, storage, equipment, etc.
