Lorain County Community College’s (LCCC) Provost’s office is seeking candidates for a full-time Project Manager for Academic Affairs. The Manager of Projects for the Provost/VP Academic Affairs provides leadership and oversight of State Articulation and Transfer Initiatives as well as maintains and supports the academic infrastructure at Lorain County Community College. This position, which reports directly to the Provost/Vice President for Academic Affairs and Student Success, oversees multiple academic priorities and provides direction and oversight of academic systems and processes. Typical functions and activities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Acts as LCCC liaison for the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE) for State Transfer Initiatives.
  • Lead for degree and certificate submission for the ODHE approval process, new locations, program modality and other compliance work
  • Lead for Curriculum Council processes, documentation and other curricular activities for internal and external constituents
  • Oversees PeopleSoft Curriculum Management module, CourseLeaf (Catalog and Course Information Management modules), and Series 25 Information System
  • Provides leadership and ensures compliance of Policies and Procedures for Faculty Promotion and Tenure Processes, Sabbatical Leave Processes, and conducts research and special projects relevant to the Academic Affairs Office

Other Duties/Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

  • Academic Publications oversight for Catalog, Faculty, Reference Guides, Curriculum Changes Booklets and other publications
  • Serves in various committees and councils including Curriculum Council, Provost Council, Academic Support Team, and other committees as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Extensive knowledge of higher education, academic infrastructure with both internal and external constituencies
  • Extensive knowledge of compliance and accreditation processes with both internal and external organizations.
  • At least five years of relevant academic experience
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work with faculty, staff and administrators from varied disciplines and backgrounds on a wide range of activities 
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, demonstrating trustworthiness and professional integrity in all interactions with students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
  •  Deep understanding of policies and processes associated with institutional and professional accreditation
  • Superior communication abilities that facilitate clear policy articulation, successful team collaboration, and positive relationship management across the college community
  • Proven track record of effectively balancing strategic initiatives, operational responsibilities, and stakeholder relationships in a fast-paced academic environment
  • Proven ability to work autonomously on concurrent strategic initiatives, ensuring accuracy and quality while meeting institutional deadlines and objectives
