Description: We are seeking an experienced, hands-on IT Support Specialist to serve as an internal point of contact for technical support needs not covered by our external IT partner, Blue Mantis. This on-site role will provide direct support for hardware, software, operational IT issues, administrative electronic medical records (EMR) duties and coordinate installations and troubleshooting. This position plays a key role in maintaining workflow efficiency, supporting end-users, and ensuring the effective use of the electronic medical record (EMR) system across our care centers.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our team and support our mission. 

Essential Duties: 

  • Provide on-site Level 1 and Level 2 support for IT issues that fall outside the scope of Blue Mantis services. 
  • Partner with the CIO on the execution of internal IT initiatives and projects. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues (desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, phones, etc.)
  • Support software installations, updates and user-specific application needs. 
  • Coordinate with Blue Mantis for escalated or contracted issues and follow through on resolutions. 
  • Support execute on-site installations and troubleshooting not handled by the external Blue Mantis IT Team. 
  • Maintain IT equipment inventory and update internal documentation and troubleshooting guides. 
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, HIPAA, and data security best practices. 
  • Provide administrative support for EMR system including: 
    1. Assisting clinical and administrative users with EMR functionality and access issues. 
    2. Supporting user setup, permissions, and provider templates. 
    3. Troubleshooting EMR-related errors and connectivity issues. 
    4. Coordinating EMR enhancements or updates with relevant departments and vendors. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates’ or bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of IT support experience
  • Experience supporting EMR systems (eClinicalWorks -ECW preferred) 
  • Strong working knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and basic network troubleshooting
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize projects
  • Experience working with outsourced IT vendors a plus. 
  • Project coordination or support experience in an IT environment

Physical Demands

The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee should be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, lift and move up to 25 lbs. The work environment is typically quiet to moderate with standard office and procedure room noise levels. The Medical Assistant must be able to observe safe practice criteria in assisting patients.
