What You'll Be Doing:
As a Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
Training Personnel: Guide and develop your team to ensure they meet production and safety standards.
Conducting Inspections: Ensure pallets meet customer specifications and maintain quality control.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed.
Production Goals: Help your team meet daily production goals by providing clear direction and setting priorities.
Reporting: Prepare reports, correct discrepancies, and maintain accurate pallet inventory.
Shift Transitions: Responsible for smooth transitions between shifts and the setup of work areas.
Collaboration: Work closely with location management to identify and address any operational or safety training needs.
Establishes and maintains consistent and proper communication with internal and external management teams.
Partners with onsite management team to ensure the customer's expectations of the highest level of quality standards and service are achieved.
Reviews and analyzes daily and weekly reports to ensure constant improvement in operations.
Partners with onsite management team to ensure timely completion and administration of all employment tasks including employee scheduling, timekeeping, performance reviews, corrective actions, status changes, separations, attendance, and timely submission of required payroll data.
Supervises or assists in recruiting, hiring, training, and retention of employees.
Works with the onsite management team in administering operations standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety, and on-time delivery.
Serves as an interface between operations, customers, administration, employees, and logistics.
Provides leadership and guidance to frontline employees. Establishes and communicates goals and objectives. Emphasizes accountability and inspires positive behavior changes.
What We're Looking For:
Education: Associate's Degree (preferred but not required).
Experience: 6+ months of experience in a leadership or similar role.
Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily and meet production goals.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external partners.
Analytical skills to review reports and identify areas for improvement.
Experience with employee relations, including scheduling, timekeeping, performance management, and HR processes.
A strong understanding of operational standards for safety, quality, and efficiency.
Physical Requirements:
This is a physically demanding role in a warehouse/production environment.
The ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods is required.
Must be able to move or lift equipment, products, and materials.
Work Environment:
This is a non-climate-controlled warehouse/production environment.
You may be exposed to dust, loud noise, and fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold).
All duties require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
