Job Summary:
We're seeking a Plant Engineer who thrives in collaborative environments and possesses a deep-seated passion for solving engineering challenges. This role presents an exciting opportunity for managing a variety of projects, utilizing technical skills in automation and validation. The Plant Engineer will bring hands-on experience in power, controls, information systems, and/or automation, contributing to the dynamic INDEVCO team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize project work, source vendors, supervise contractors onsite, and contribute to process and equipment design and upgrade.
- Perform process analysis (time/motion study) and failure mode analysis (PFMEA) of existing and new products, identifying and implementing improvements to equipment and productivity.
- Assist with developing new projects, designs, and testing procedures.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and manuals related to engineering projects.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians, contracted vendors, quality, production, and engineers to identify and resolve issues related to design, manufacturing, testing, and quality control.
- Ensure robust validations and monitor changes to ensure they do not impact validation.
- Conduct research to identify new technologies and techniques that can be used to improve engineering processes and products.
- Provide technical support within the Engineering department and to Safety, Maintenance, Operations and Quality Assurance.
- Develop programming definition, testing, and execution for Industrial Control Systems (ICS) such as Programmable Logic Controller (PLCs) and Human-to-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) including robots, vision/detection systems, and other industrial automation.
- Identify ways to improve cycle times; reduce scrap and upgrade components for cost/performance improvement.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- At least 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing engineering or Working experience in the field of factory automation, network, controls, and instrumentation.
- Bachelor of Science or technical training in engineering or scientific discipline.
- Unwavering integrity. Leadership qualities and self-driven.
- Experience managing projects and working on process/equipment design.
- Self-directed, can operate alone or in a team environment.
- Strong prioritization, organization skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and standards.
- Experience with design and program logic for PLCs, HMIs and VFDs.
- Good methodical aptitude for equipment problem-solving and related issues.
- Project management skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills to advise, lead and develop other personnel to accomplish personal, plant and corporate objectives
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to connect with all levels.
