We are seeking a Auxiliary Production Worker for the Pryor, Oklahoma manufacturing facility.
The Auxiliary Production Worker assists in the operations of cigarette manufacturing and the packaging process; loads and unloads packaging materials; and helps facilitate efficient production of high-quality tobacco finished goods. Auxiliary Production Workers are responsible for duties in assigned areas and cross-training for cover in additional departments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Operator with set-up on production equipment per detailed work instructions.
- Ensure the proper materials are used as per scheduled guidelines and brand requirements.
- Inspect packaging of product to ensure quality is maintained within established quality guidelines.
- Communicate with other employees and supervisors to ensure proper materials are being used.
- Support and maintain a proper level of materials to ensure adequate supply and maintain production.
- Ability to learn and retain knowledge regarding various duties and various department guidelines.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, pro-activity and effective follow-through.
- Flexibility to function in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED
- Previous experience in a manufacturing machine operations role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be visually capable to distinguish differences in color and wording on product and to detect non-tobacco related materials.
