Position Summary:
Dant Clayton is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to support our aluminum fabrication and modular construction operations. This critical role is responsible for inspections, audits, and problem-solving efforts across multiple departments to ensure our products consistently meet or exceed customer expectations, internal specifications, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process and final inspections on aluminum fabricated parts, assemblies, and modular builds.
- Conduct quality audits on incoming raw materials, production processes, and finished goods.
- Investigate non-conformances and customer issues using root cause analysis; implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Track and report quality metrics, audit results, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support process improvements and drive operational excellence.
- Maintain calibration records for measuring equipment and inspection tools.
- Assist with document control and preparation for ISO 9001 audits.
- Provide training to production personnel on inspection techniques and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in quality control, preferably in aluminum fabrication or modular construction environments.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Strong working knowledge of aluminum fabrication methods.
- Hands-on experience with precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective action.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality systems and lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Experience with ERP systems such as Infor or Factory Track is beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong documentation practices.
Work Environment:
- Work is conducted in both a fabrication shop and modular construction setting.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 30 lbs regularly.
- PPE must be worn in designated areas.
- Occasional after-hours or off-site support may be required.
