Description

We are looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Manager to serve as the company’s Director of Restaurants & Bars. This position is responsible for leading the daily operations of the Front of the House (FOH) of Maison Lodi and Americana House. This position also makes key operational management decisions in the Property’s beverage program. A viable candidate must be business minded and work to build a successful entity; project future business needs and develop customer loyalty. Job Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Directing and controlling the activities of the various Food & Beverage outlets: restaurants, pool, room service and bar to ensure the execution of Appellation standards, policies and procedures. 
  • Manages the day to day operational and administrative responsibilities in all FOH food and beverage outlets including guests greeting, VIP guests handling, reservation process and evaluation, seating management/control, service quality control, guest relations, and bar operations.
  • Select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all team members, supervisors, managers and assistant managers in the F&B outlets, restaurants and bars to ensure that established long-range strategic planning for outlet operation are met.
  • Concentrate its efforts on maximizing the departmental profit and controlling costs while ensuring the highest quality offerings to maximize guest satisfaction. Drive beverage revenues in all outlets and implement strategies to achieve budgets.
  • The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts. Develop excellent relationships with guests, regulars and group contacts to provide a highly personalized service.
  • Provide clear directions, coaching and leadership to the department.
  • Provide expert knowledge of wine and spirits and lead cocktail menu creation and implementation, consistently researching & developing new cocktails, bringing new spirits and wines to grow & evolve the beverage / bar concepts.
  • Observe the physical condition of facilities and equipment in the outlets and make 

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of Restaurant Management experience
  • Sommelier training or certification
  • Solid food and wine knowledge
  • Has complete knowledge and displays mastery of any spirit brand behind the bar, structure of the cocktail menu (ingredients, method of presentation of specialty cocktails and standard cocktails), classic cocktails, all wines, all non-alcoholic beverages, specifications, and allergies
  • Proven excellent leadership and team building skills with team members, peers and across all departments.
  • Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision
  • Proficient in computer systems used in administrative tasks
  • Strong business sense and fiscal awareness and refined forecasting skills
  • Strong organizational skills, high energy, enthusiasm and creative thinking.
  • Hospitality and service driven and able to handle a fast-paced work environment while handling high-profile guests.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations, working under pressure, and handling unexpected situations with grace
  • Attention to details in all areas of the department is essential.
  • Always takes a pro-active approach to all work with the financial and guest satisfaction in mind.
  • Work varying schedules to reflect the business needs including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation

  To perform the duties and requirement for this job, you must have the following physical abilities:

  • Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day. Length of time of these tasks may vary.
  • Must be able to  exert well-paced ability to reach other departments on a timely basis.
  • Sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Enter data into a computer terminal, operate standard office equipment, and use telephone.
  • See and read a computer screen and printed matter with or without vision aids.
  • Speak, hear, and understand speech at normal levels with or without aid. Ability to comprehend, carry out and explain verbal and written instructions.
  • Be able to handle stress and have the mental capacity to do so under stressful times and situations.
  • Lift up to 35lbs.
  • Constant: walking, standing, use of hands, arms, and legs for periods up to 4-6 hours at a time.
  • Frequent: bending and twisting of neck, reaching below, above and at shoulder level.
  • Occasional: pushing, pulling, and grasping, climbing stairs and stooping.

You must have the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, bend, stoop, and reach; lift and carry equipment and supplies; constantly walking and standing for long periods up to 4 hours and ability to work in a fast-paced environment; walking over uneven ground and up and down stairs to service guests with or without reasonable accommodation. 


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Pay Range (Salaried): $80,500 – $85,000 per year
