This is a full time, onsite position working in our various barrel warehouses around Nelson County.
Schedule: 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm Monday - Friday (Periodic Overtime on Saturday and Sunday required)
Pay Rate: $23.74/hour plus .20 shift differential
What the Role Is
The 2nd Shift Barrel Warehouse Specialist is a general laborer position that will work in our various barrel warehouses around Nelson County.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Responsible for lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering barrels from trailer to appropriate warehouse floor.
- Safely handling barrels of 500+ pounds, rolling them into and out of the warehouse.
- Loading, unloading and stacking cases, removing and replacing labels, dumping cases.
- Loading glass, crushing and bailing cardboard, and operating a hand and/or powered jack when necessary.
Who You Are…
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
- Minimum 1 year of work related experience, preferably working in a warehouse environment
- Successful completion of required Bennett Mechanical testing
- Highly motivated, energetic, and reliable
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable with highly physical roles
- Stable and consistent work history that demonstrates an excellent work ethic, excellent attendance.
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of job, employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods of time, walk, bend, reach, push, pull and lift. Employee will be required to push, pull, roll and assist with heading up barrels weighing 500+ pounds. This position will work inside and outside in the elements. The position will require maneuvering any level (1st-7th) of the warehouse. Comfortability with heights is necessary.
