Job Purpose:
We are seeking a Change Management Specialist to join our team and oversee critical Service Management disciplines, including Change, Release, and Configuration Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that IT services evolve in a structured, efficient manner by facilitating meetings, reviewing change requests, and driving continuous improvement across these areas. This role is key in ensuring all changes are reviewed, approved, and implemented with minimal risk and maximum efficiency, aligning technology solutions with the organization’s strategic goals.
Requirements
- Change, Release, and Configuration Management:
- Govern critical Service Management disciplines, including Change, Release, and Configuration Management.
- Facilitate daily operations meetings, weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, and Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs) to ensure smooth change implementations.
- Change Request Review & Approval:
- Review change requests to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to secure necessary approvals and develop mitigation plans for potential risks.
- Impact Analysis & Process Improvement:
- Analyze the impact of proposed changes, verify the quality of pre- and post-implementation requirements, and validate key implementation milestones.
- Participate in planning sessions for new projects and technologies to continuously improve processes.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting:
- Establish and maintain strong liaison relationships with business partners and IT departments to deliver effective process solutions.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to ensure process efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Assist in formal reporting related to IT Operations and analyze the relationship between incidents and implemented changes.
- Documentation & Training:
- Assist in developing and maintaining user manuals, knowledge databases, and training materials to support process changes.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in IT Service Management, with a strong focus on Change and Release Management.
- Proven experience with the ServiceNow platform, including creating reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Certifications:
- ITIL v3 or v4 certification required. Practitioner or Intermediate certification in Release and Control or Change, Configuration, and Release is preferred.
- Skills:
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train users on process changes.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Working knowledge of IT operations and an understanding of how Change Management interfaces with other ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem, and Request Management.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
- Additional Skills (Nice to Have):
- Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean and CoBiT methodologies.
