To reinforce our Finance team we are looking for a General Ledger Accountant.

What We're Looking For...

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our Finance team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates who are eager to apply their accounting knowledge in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The GL Accountant will be responsible for supporting balance sheet reconciliations, assisting with fixed asset and prepaid expense management, and contributing to the financial close process

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, a high level of accuracy, and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Support compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and external regulations (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
  • Analyze financial information and assist in summarizing financial status.
  • Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal reports.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other departments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Monitor and reconcile intercompany transactions.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the fixed asset ledger and perform depreciation calculations as needed.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting, as requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Up to 2 years of accounting experience, including internships or co-op programs.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and general ledger functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or another ERP system is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across departments.
