Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Human Resources Coordinator to our team to support our continued growth at our Alexis Road facility.

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Human Resources Coordinator provides comprehensive support to the HR department and employees across various functions. Key areas of responsibility include time and attendance administration, employee engagement coordination, HR data and records management, and general support of HR programs and initiatives. This role ensures the accuracy of HR data, contributes to a positive workplace culture, and supports consistent policy application across the organization.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Administer the time and attendance system, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of employee hours, absences, and schedule changes. 
  • Support attendance policy compliance by documenting violations and preparing corrective action notices.
  • Enter, audit, and update employee data in all systems, related to job changes, status updates, benefits, training, and terminations.
  • Assists with talent acquisition efforts including but not limited to recruitment, candidate communication, onboarding, and orientation preparation. 
  • Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities such as appreciation events, wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and surveys.
  • Help coordinate internal communication efforts, including HR newsletters, bulletin boards, and employee announcements.
  • Assist with audits and compliance reporting related to HR data and employment law requirements.
  • Maintains accurate inventory of all employee engagement items and proactively anticipates and communicates inventory needs. 
  • Respond to general employee inquiries and direct more complex issues to the appropriate HR staff.
  • Support HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Spends time on the production floor engaging with hourly workforce. 
  • Maintains a professional and appropriate relationship with coworkers, hourly workforce, customers, vendors, and community members. 
  • Contributes to the overall efficient operation of the HR department and fosters a team environment.

Requirements

  

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of HR experience, preferably with time and attendance system exposure


GENERAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to be adaptable, flexible and advance existing skill sets to be able to serve future office needs in additional capacities. 
  • Ability to be pragmatic in decision making; requires high integrity.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times. 
  • Ability to take direction, coaching, and act positively to improve performance.


SOFTWARE/COMPUTER SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • High efficiency with Excel required.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems. 
  • Has the ability to learn new software systems and data management systems quickly
  • Proficient keyboarding and typing skills.
