Network Analyst
The Network Analyst is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and management of network infrastructure within the manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of network systems to support manufacturing operations, including production control systems, data acquisition, and enterprise applications. The position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance and support business objectives.
The successful team member will be required to apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve system issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT security and systems investments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute network architecture and design plans that align with manufacturing operational requirements and business goals.
- Configure, deploy, and maintain network hardware and software including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points and PBX voice systems.
- Configure, deploy and maintain network security configurations, firewall policy configurations and site-to-site VPN WAN networks.
- Manage and maintain CCTV, physical access control, UPS and public address systems by coordinating with external and internal support and service providers
- Work with local and global IT teams to implement and maintain network configurations, firewall configurations, VPNs, and access control lists as per global security policies.
- Work with helpdesk team to resolve network, voice and remote access issues for business teams.
- Plan and execute network and voice system upgrades, patching, device replacements and expansions to meet support, security and business needs.
- Monitor and support day-to-day operations of the corporate network and voice systems.
- Enforce network security policies and procedures to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other security threats.
- Stay informed about the latest security threats and vulnerabilities and apply appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including network diagrams, configuration files, and operational procedures.
- Lead or participate in local as well as Global network-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new installations.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery.
- Mentor and train junior network staff and provide guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Assist with datacenter and virtual infrastructure management tasks as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related
- field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP/CCIE, CompTIA Network+,) preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network administration, with a focus on manufacturing environments. Experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale network infrastructures
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols, routing, switching, and firewall technologies
- Proficiency in network monitoring and management tools
- Experience in Virtual Infrastructure management, datacenter management and CCTV systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
- Experience with network security practices and technologies
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Primarily office-based with occasional requirements to visit manufacturing sites
- On-call availability may be required for critical network issues and emergencies
- Ability to travel up to 15%
