POSITION SUMMARY

 

The Supervisor, Gathering Gas Measurement & Regulation will supervise the maintenance, repair, installation, replacement and restoration of Gas Gathering Measurement and Regulation facilities, project and resource management, customer involvement and monitoring of work.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

•Ensures proper work methods are applied and safety and environmental precautions are followed - be an agent for safety and environmental;
•Support reliability performance goals; ensure all company goals are met to satisfy compliance requirements.
•Track and Review Employee Time Charges
•Supervise crews during outages to ensure timely restoration of service.
•Work with Compression, Gas Control, Gas Supply, and Distribution teams to ensure reliability of the system.
•Schedule, assign and monitor the work of maintenance crews and/or contractors.
•Pre/post inspect jobs, resolve design problems and material discrepancies, and review contractor expenses to ensure accurate time and equipment charges;
•Ensure proper work methods are applied and safety precautions are followed;
•Resolve customer complaints;
•Advise and assist in technical training and development of employees;
•Supervise emergency activities.
•Monitor budget goals and employee productivity;
•Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The team member in this role will:
•Serve as a People Leader with supervisory responsibilities. 
•Develop, mentor, and coach team members as they work to achieve performance goals by utilizing leadership routines such as weekly check-ins, monthly team meetings, quarterly skills coaching and annual reviews.
•Identify effective goals and objectives for the team and implement a plan to execute them.   

 

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES

•Prior leadership or management experience;
•Considerable related experience 
•Full knowledge of pipeline gathering systems; data collection and communications, construction work methods; maintenance and repair; operations guidelines; cost analysis; customer service;
•Prior experience interacting with and/or managing union employees;
•Skills to Include: leadership; contract interpretation; interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication; project and time management and organizational skills.
•Good oral and written communication skills
•Experience supervising Union employees 
•Experience with Microsoft Office, SAP, Measurement Advisor, Sightline, and SCADA 

 

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE

•Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years directly related experience or
•Associates Degree and 5+ years of directly related experience or
•High school diploma and 7+ years of directly related experience.
•Directly related experience includes: Natural Gas pipeline experience.; construction; maintenance and repair; operations; customer service, leadership, gas production

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS    

The ideal candidate must be able to complete the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation: 

•Remain stationary at a designated workspace for 60% of the time. Traverse various terrain in the field 40% of the time.
•Move self in different positions to accomplish various tasks throughout the office space.
•Adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds.
•Operate a computer and other office productivity machinery as necessary. 
•Conduct Physical tasks to satisfy OQ Requirements.
•Communicate with others to accurately exchange information and ideas.
•Observe details at close range.
