THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Catalog Manager plays a pivotal role in building and maintaining a best-in-class digital product catalog that fuels NexaMotion Group’s ability to serve automotive repair professionals across North America. You will oversee the creation, management, and distribution of product content across our proprietary e-commerce platform (Transcend), third-party point-of-sale systems, and partner channels.
This role combines deep technical knowledge with strategic process leadership. You will be responsible for implementing product data governance, managing master data frameworks, and supporting scalable catalog operations that enable superior customer experiences and operational efficiency.
As we continue to grow through acquisition and expand into new verticals, you will be a driving force behind the standardization, accuracy, and usability of our catalog data.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and continuously improve NexaMotion’s digital product catalog with a relentless focus on accuracy, completeness, and data quality.
- Lead catalog operations across multiple channels—internal e-commerce, third-party POS platforms, and acquired business entities.
- Implement data governance and master data management (MDM) practices that enhance trust in our product data.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, UX/design, marketing, and product teams to support strategic initiatives.
- Ensure industry-leading vehicle fitment and coverage, enabling repair professionals to confidently select the right part.
- Manage the ingestion, transformation, and enrichment of supplier-submitted ACES and PIES data, maintaining alignment with industry standards.
- Maintain and optimize catalog metadata, product taxonomy, mapping tables, and digital assets (e.g., images, spec sheets, PDFs).
- Identify and execute automation and AI opportunities that improve catalog accuracy and operational scale.
- Develop and monitor KPIs that measure catalog performance, data quality, and customer impact.
- Participate in key industry organizations, forums, and standards bodies to remain on the cutting edge of aftermarket cataloging best practices.
- Support catalog integration efforts for newly acquired companies and platforms.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in catalog, product data, or content management—ideally in automotive e-commerce, aftermarket, or distribution environments.
- Deep familiarity with ACES and PIES data standards and real-world application in catalog systems.
- Proven success working with PIM, MDM, and ERP platforms; experience implementing scalable workflows across tools and teams.
- Solid understanding of structured data, taxonomies, product hierarchies, and data governance principles.
- Demonstrated experience managing digital assets and enhancing product content for B2B or B2C customers.
- Strong analytical skills; comfort using data to define KPIs, diagnose issues, and surface new opportunities.
- Technically adept with the ability to automate workflows and scale operations using tools like SQL, Python, Excel, APIs, or low-code platforms (a plus).
- Exceptional collaboration and communication skills—capable of working across disciplines and seniority levels.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for helping customers get the right product with confidence.
