The Social Media & Events Manager is a creative, results-driven marketing professional who thrives in the mountains and brings infectious energy to everything they do. This role is responsible for supporting the strategic marketing efforts of Brundage Mountain Resort, working closely with the Marketing Director and department managers to plan and execute dynamic campaigns and engaging events that drive sales and revenue. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Social Media Management 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy to increase brand awareness, engagement, and customer loyalty. 
  • Create, curate, and schedule engaging content (photos, videos, reels, stories) across all platforms.  
  • Monitor social media channels for engagement, respond to comments and messages in a timely manner. 
  • Collaborate with photographers, influencers, and content creators for user-generated and promotional content. 
  • Plan and produce brand shoots through coordination of models, photographers, and inter-departmentally. 
  • Create and maintain a social media calendar with 5+ posts a week. 
  • Analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies based on insights and trends. 
  • Supervise on-staff photo and video team members. 

Events Management 

  • Work side-by-side with the Events Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute on-mountain and base-area events (e.g., après ski parties, holiday celebrations, ski races, live music, festivals). 
  • Manage event logistics including; permits, vendors, staffing, equipment, and safety protocols. 
  • Promote events through website calendar, social media, newsletters, and community outreach. 
  • Work with resort departments to ensure seamless operations during events. 
  • Maintain post-event reporting and feedback for continuous improvement. 

Collaboration, Campaign Support & Brand Representation 

  • Work closely with marketing, guest services, operations, food & beverage, and retail teams. 
  • Maintain the Brundage website and online presence. 
  • Write and create weekly sales emails. 
  • Contribute to the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and in-resort channels. 
  • Assist in creating department marketing materials such as brochures, email templates, signage, and internal communications. 
  • Represent the resort at community events, trade shows, and tourism partnerships. 
  • Uphold and protect the brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all platforms and events. 

 

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field or comparable work experience 
  • 2+ years of professional marketing experience 
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail 
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, content management systems, social media platforms, and reporting and analytics tools 
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills 
  • Ability to think creatively, generate new ideas, and share openly 

 

Other Requirements:

  • Expert level skiing or snowboarding ability 
  • Knowledge of the snow sports industry and/or ski resort operations 
  • Strong understanding of social media marketing 
  • Understanding of promoting and managing a brand on social media 
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, analyze, and problem solve 
  • Ability to deliver professional, engaging content (copy, graphics, photography & video) 
  • Ability to safely carry up to 50 lbs of equipment while skiing or snowboarding 
  • Ability to work in acclimate weather conditions 
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. 
  • Ability to drive and pass insurance driving history inquiry
