The Wardrobe Associate is a key member of the team, responsible for the day-to-day management of employee uniforms and wardrobe. This position ensures all employees have the proper attire, whether it’s fitting new hires, exchanging worn uniforms, or providing promotional costumes. The associate will maintain accurate records using the Garment Inventory Management System (GIMS), coordinate with outside vendors, and manage all aspects of uniform distribution and maintenance. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work in various environments, including office settings and casino floors.
Responsibilities
- Manage the uniform process for all employees, including fitting new hires and coordinating uniform exchanges.
- Maintain accurate records of employee garments and locker lock assignments in the Garment Inventory Management System (GIMS).
- Handle all aspects of uniform maintenance, including sorting, bagging, and coding garments for dry cleaning.
- Research, develop, and source promotional costumes as needed.
- Communicate with external vendors for specific garment requests and orders.
- Distribute and track shoe vouchers and employee locker locks.
- Perform weekly walk-throughs to examine employee uniforms and ensure they are in good condition.
- Execute daily chef coat exchanges and manage the wardrobe administration page.
- Send weekly order advisements to department managers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED with at least one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to operate industrial sewing machines, including a serger, blind hemme,r and a heat seal machine.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift objects up to 25 pounds.
