At the Bistro at Norm Reeves Honda in North Richland Hills, you'll play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service by preparing and serving a variety of high-quality coffee and beverages to dealership customers and staff. You will create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere while ensuring that every coffee, espresso, and beverage served meets the highest standards.

Bistro Hours: Monday through Friday 6:30am - 3:30pm; Saturdays 6:30am-5:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare Coffee and Beverages: Expertly brew coffee, espresso, and other beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences. Ensure consistency in taste and presentation.

2. Customer Service: Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting beverages and food items. Take and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.

3. Cash Handling: Handle cash and credit card transactions, provide accurate change, and maintain cash register accuracy.

4. Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the coffee bar, workstations, and dining area clean and organized at all times. Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation.

5. Stock and Inventory: Monitor and replenish coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies as needed. Perform regular inventory checks and report low stock to management.

6. Menu Knowledge: Stay updated on the menu offerings, including seasonal specials, and be able to make recommendations to customers.

7. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Build rapport with regular customers and provide a personalized experience.

8. Adherence to Policies: Follow company policies and procedures regarding food safety, cleanliness, and dress code.

9. Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues in a positive and productive manner. Assist in training new employees when necessary.

10. Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to take on additional tasks as needed, such as assisting with bistro operations or events.

Qualifications:

• Prior barista experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Basic math skills for cash handling and order processing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of coffee and espresso preparation techniques is a plus.
• Food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Physical Requirements:

• Standing for extended periods.
• Lifting and carrying bags of coffee beans and supplies (up to 30 lbs.).
• Working in a potentially hot and fast-paced environment.
