VOLUNTEER POSITION

The goal of the ASUS Mentorship Program (AMP) is to help integrate first-year students into the ethos and social fabric of Queen’s University and the City of Kingston and make connections at a new school in a fun and casual way. First-year students are paired to upper-year students in September of the school year, and the upper-year students will act as mentors to the first-year students throughout the entire school year. The main purpose of this mentor-mentee relationship is to ensure that first-year students adapt to Queen’s University as fast and as comfortably as possible. We offer connections to our undergrad society and the student department councils (DSCs) as well as larger mentorship groups to help build your networks within bigger communities in ASUS, Queen's, and Kingston at large. AMP proudly run by Queen’s students who understand the student experience and can offer unique events tailored to our student body.

As an ASUS Mentor, you will work with others who share a passion for student life to welcome the Class of 2029. You will meet with your first-year on a biweekly basis as well as attend various group AMP events.
