How you'll make an impact as a Paralegal
The Paralegal will support the legal and compliance needs of One World’s parent company Uniserve – a fast growing and entrepreneurial privately owned supply chain group with substantial global investments in Logistics, Shipping, Technology & Property. This role will involve providing support to the group’s senior lawyers and business leaders in relation to customer contracts, supplier contracts, technology contracts, property deals, disputes and corporate transactions.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of law and global trade, supporting the company’s mission to deliver efficient and compliant supply chain solutions and ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, NDAs, and procurement agreements across logistics, freight, and technology.
- Support litigation, dispute resolution, and M&A activities, including due diligence and transactional documentation.
- Assist with property transactions and documentation.
- Maintain organised legal records, databases, and case files.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to the legal team.
- Liaise with internal teams and external partners to address legal and compliance matters.
- Contribute to the development of legal tech tools and resources, including contract playbooks.
What we're looking for from you:
- 3+ years’ paralegal experience, ideally in freight forwarding, logistics, express services, or shipping
- Solid understanding of contract law and negotiation within a logistics environment
- Strong organisational, research, and communication skills
- Proficiency in legal software and document management systems
- Able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
- English Law degree/Graduate Diploma in Law and, ideally, a Legal Practice or Bar Vocational Course/equivalent or a Paralegal Qualification.
