As a Product Engineering Manager, you’ll be a key decision-maker and a vital bridge between your squad and the wider Pod organisation. As well as this, you’ll also be responsible for:
- Growing a strong, inclusive engineering culture by supporting and developing your team.
- Working closely with stakeholders, product managers, and architects to shape solutions that are scalable, secure, and impactful.
- Using data and delivery metrics to guide decisions and identify issues early
- Promoting secure, maintainable, and cost-effective systems that support long-term success—while delivering tangible value.
- Planning, prioritising, and adapting to keep projects moving and outcomes strong.

- Experience with systems like ERP (e.g. IFS), Salesforce, reporting tools, or telephony/omnichannel platforms.
- A background in integrating ready-made (COTS) systems to solve business problems.
- A good understanding of agile ways of working and how to improve team performance using delivery metrics.
- The ability to make smart trade-offs between new features, tech debt, and long-term system health.
- Confidence contributing to architectural decisions that make our platforms scalable and reliable.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills—you work well with engineers, product managers, and leadership.
- A track record of building supportive, inclusive, and effective teams.
