As a Tax Manager at our firm, you’ll take charge of client engagements, mentor up-and-coming talent, and be an expert resource for all things tax-related—especially in manufacturing.  You’ll join a collaborative, future-focused team that values initiative, creativity, and continuous learning.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage diverse, challenging tax projects for a variety of manufacturing clients
  • Review and sign off on tax returns, offering expert guidance on complex issues relating to      manufacturing
  • Be the go-to for clients: answer their questions, anticipate needs, and clarify engagement terms
  • Mentor and coach managers,  supervisors, and senior accountants—help them shine and grow
  • Keep projects on track by monitoring timelines, budgets, and quality, while building strong client      relationships
  • Troubleshoot issues as they arise, and ensure every phase runs smoothly
  • Oversee the entire process—right through to final delivery—making sure client instructions are met
  • Gather feedback and continuously improve the client experience
  • Help grow the business: develop relationships that lead to new opportunities
  • Collaborate across departments to deliver seamless service
  • Seek out ways to drive the firm forward and contribute to its ongoing success
  • Embrace and represent our firm’s values and philosophy in everything you do
Requirements

  

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting
  • CPA certification
  • 8-10 years of public accounting experience (preferably serving manufacturing clients)
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience as a Manager or equivalent leadership role
  • Proven ability to run client engagements and supervise teams
  • Current member of AICPA and NCACPA
  • Tech-savvy: proficient with accounting and audit software (and always ready to learn more!)
  • Up-to-date on CPE requirements,  especially those related to leadership and communication
  • Strong organizational skills, a knack for time management, and exceptional client service mindset
  • Self-starter who brings fresh ideas and isn’t afraid to innovate
  • Valid driver’s license and solid driving record

Physical & Practical Details

  • Comfortable with keyboarding (5-7 hours/day)
  • Willing to travel as needed for client engagements or team events
