The Gig:

The Shoreside Operations Support Specialist is a forward thinking, self-motivated, vibrant communicator with an undeniable talent for getting things done. You’re not afraid to ‘dive in’ and be a jack of all trades. You will be finding the best pathway to get our Crew, Sailors and First Mates the results needed. 

As a Specialist - Shoreside Operations Support, you’ll play a key role in supporting our VTS team. You will be a part of a team that is goal and service focused. You’ll have your finger on the pulse of what is most important to deliver service excellence. 

This team is about making ship happen. You’ll create amazing relationships that contribute to our success. You’re passionate about problem solving and going above and beyond to provide an industry leading service. Your organizational skills will help us to improve productivity and ensure our small team has maximum reach across the Virgin Family. 

This gig is based at VVHQ - our swanky Virgin Voyages Head Office in Plantation, FL where we follow a hybrid work environment. We can't wait to 'sea' you in person during our Collaboration Days, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, while you enjoy Mondays and Fridays' as remote days.

What You'll Be Up To:

  • Provide amazing support to Sailors, First Mates and internal crew members

  • Ability to work well with all levels of internal leadership and team members as well as outside clients and vendors, to solve issues that prevent service excellence

  • Act as an ambassador of the Virgin culture 

  • Be up for any other challenge as directed by your leaders 

  • Researches and provides information in order to accommodate special needs 

  • Use multiple data base systems, internal computer programs and various computer-based resources, to deliver service

  • Conduct basic research for the purpose of problem resolution and communicates solutions to travel partners and/or guests 

  • Direct non-routine matters to the appropriate Sailor Services resource for special handling and resolution 

  • Attend required training classes, completes required on-line training courses and satisfies completion standards 

  • Provide operational support to Travel Services Leaders 

  • Organize the tracking of, and deliver the weekly status report tracking targets achieved each week 

  • Conduct detailed research on bookings as needed utilizing Salesforce, Seaware and other internal systems. 

  • The ability to make thoughtful decisions based on our corporate policies and customer service ethos.

SuperPowers Required:

  • High school graduation or GED. Must be at least 18 years of age 

  • A minimum of six months customer service experience 

  • Customer Services experience is preferred as is previous contact center experience 

  • Previous administration experience is also preferred 

  • Ability to accurately perform data entry of both text and numeric information at a rate of at least 35 wpm from both spoken and printed sources 

  • Communicate effectively (both verbal and written) 

  • Able to perform work in a sitting position and to view a computer screen (including the ability to visually distinguish color) for extended periods (for up to an entire shift period notwithstanding scheduled breaks and lunches) 

  • Ability to hear and speak clearly using a telephone headset for the purpose of continuously answering in-bound telephone calls, if needed 

  • Comply with internal policies, guidelines and conduct standards
