Join Daimler Truck North America’s (DTNA’s) team of Canadian vocational district managers in a field-based position to support the sale of new vocational Freightliner and Western Star trucks and tractors. As a member of this team, you will have responsibility of becoming an expert in your assigned District. To accomplish this you will be required to interact with customers, our dealer partners, product marketing, strategy, pricing, and marketing communications to implement your strategy within each assigned segment. You will also be the voice of the customer to the organization.Please note: This position will be open to anyone domiciled within British Columbia. Strong preference for the candidate to be based in the greater Vancouver area, Kamloops, or Kelowna.

Position offers a starting salary range of $128,000.00 - $164,000.00 CAD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience
Benefits include an annual bonus program; Pension retirement program with company contribution of 8% for wages, commissions, and bonus (combined with a 10% employee contribution limit); 4 weeks paid vacation; 13+ Calendar holidays; Parental leave top-up to 85% standard (55% extended); Healthcare plan; Life insurance plan (company paid and additional options); Short Term and Long Term disability program.
What You Drive at DTNA:
- Promote the sale of Freightliner Trucks and Western Star Trucks within, through direct dealer and customer contact.
- Work with dealers and customers to understand transactional details around the purchase or lease of commercial vehicles and make logical and supportable pricing recommendations.
- Assist dealers in planning and achievement of sales objectives.
- Monitor and report district and dealer sales performance.
- Effectively communicate and serve as liaison between dealers / customers and support departments.
- Assist dealers with DTNA sales tools and other sales coordination activities.
- Will be required to manage dealer and Top 50 volume allocation and enforce Dealer Reservation System (DRS) policies and guidelines.
- Provide technical sales and/or business management expertise to resolve difficult situations and conditions
- Provide information with facing field managers in Parts, Service, Distribution Development and others as necessary.
- Ensure that every effort is made to develop and coach dealers in ways that will maximize their efficiency and profitability.
- District 8A area of responsibility includes British Columbia and a small portion of other local provinces.
- This position will be open to anyone domiciled within British Columbia. Strong preference for the candidate to be based in the greater Vancouver area, Kamloops, or Kelowna.
Knowledge You Should Bring:
- BS/BA and prefer 8 years of relevant experience, or 10 years of experience in lieu of degree
- At least 2 years of group leader, supervisory, or project lead experience, or 2 years field experience required
- This is a field deployed position and requires self-management skills as it relates to travel, time and managing priorities
- Strong customer relationship development and management
- Ability to structure commercial vehicle transactions
- Ability to drive purchase decisions that favor our brand
- Ability to manage through conflict in a respectful and professional manner
- Ability to provide product presentations and answer questions of dealers and customers
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and strong follow through
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Travel as the position requires ~50-75% travel
- An attached resume is required
Exceptional Candidates Might Have:
- Master's Degree preferred
- Well-developed situational awareness in front of dealers and customers and peers
- Customer-facing or dealer-facing experience
- Prior sales experience
- Product knowledge
