What you will do:

  • Oversee remote Inside Sales life insurance operations. Providing leadership to Sales Managers, focusing on goal achievement, coaching, and professional development.
  • Provide strategic leadership across the Life Insurance business, ensuring optimal staffing, training, and development of the team. 
  • Establish a deep understanding of available life and annuity products and concepts to meet diverse client needs. Ensure front line managers and agents maximize business opportunities through effective coaching, training and mentorship.
  • Partner with executive leadership to create and execute multi-year plans, forecast growth, and manage departmental budgets. Align strategies with broader business objectives and industry trends.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers — particularly AAA Life — to ensure alignment, claims support, and continuous communication on products, updates, and service delivery.
  • Develop and expand referral networks that generate business opportunities across personal, family, and small business life insurance and retirement planning markets.
  • Facilitate cross-team referrals to enhance service offerings and member satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and retain top talent within the Life Insurance division. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture and support career advancement for high performers.
  • Set aggressive performance targets, track results through KPIs, and lead initiatives to drive sales across life, annuity, and retirement planning markets.
  • Ensure alignment with the company’s mission, leadership values, and member interests maintain absolute compliance with all regulatory requirements and industry standards 
  • Maintain accurate and timely recordkeeping in the agency management system (Applied Epic). Maintain complete and compliant life insurance customer files

 

 

Salary: The pay range for this remote position is $128,000 - 147,650. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Annual bonuses are some of the additional forms of compensation offered. Additionally, employees may participate in our award winning medical, dental, vision, wellness, financial (6% 401k match), and a wide array of other employee and membership benefits.

Qualifications


What you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, Management, or related field
  • 10+ years Life Insurance Sales experience
  • 5+ years of proven success leading Life Insurance teams
  • Strong analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills
  • Proven ability to drive growth and manage performance metrics
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and coaching abilities
  • Familiarity with digital sales tools and CRM/AMS systems
  • Strong understanding of P&L management and budgeting
  • Active Life Insurance license
  • Ability to travel up to 30% within the AAA Northeast footprint
  • FMLI and/or CLU designation, preferred
  • Must reside in RI, CT, MA, NJ or NY
