Medical Coder (CPC – Multi-Specialty) 

Full-Time | Remote 

Ascend Medical is on a mission to reimagine healthcare—and we’re looking for a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) with multi-specialty experience to help us do it. In this full-time, remote role, you’ll ensure clean claims, accurate reimbursement, and compliant documentation across diverse care types including primary care, behavioral health, and specialty services.

This is a great opportunity for a coding professional who enjoys problem-solving, collaboration, and working independently in a fast-paced virtual environment.

What You’ll Do

• Review clinical documentation and assign CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes accurately
   
• Ensure coding compliance with payer guidelines and regulatory requirements
   
• Query providers for clarification and support documentation improvement
   
• Collaborate with billing and clinical teams to reduce denials and improve revenue capture
   
• Contribute to internal audits and coding best practices

What You’ll Need

• CPC certification (AAPC) required  
• 2–5 years of coding experience, including multi-specialty coding (e.g., primary care, behavioral health, internal medicine)  
• Proficiency in EHR and coding systems (Athena, etc.)  
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier use  
• Ability to work independently in a remote role
