Job Summary
The Patient & Family Experience Coordinator provides leadership, oversight, advocacy, education, and mentoring in the development of practices, programs and policies that support the integration of Patient and Family Centered Care principles at CHOC, including providing daily coordination, communication and integration of the Family Advisory Council (in person and virtual) and other Patient and Family Experience programs as assigned. Drives collaboration across cross-functional stakeholders to enhance the experience for patients and families across the enterprise, serving as a resource for patients, families, and associates. Coordinators and trains associates for PX programs as needed. Performs necessary department functions that enhance the overall patient and family experience and engages in thoughtful, regular interaction with CHOC patients and families.Pay Range
Minimum $23.08 Midpoint $30.59 Maximum $38.09Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience
• Required: Minimum two (2) years of experience in healthcare in a complex healthcare or service-oriented organization.
• Preferred: Two (2) years of patient/consumer experience or related field.
Education
• Required: Bachelor's degree in business administration, health care administration, operations research, public health administration, or other related field OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Training
• Required: None required.
Specialized Skills
• Required: Strong presentation and public speaking skills; excellent interpersonal communication and the ability to work effectively with diverse employees at all levels to ensure effective communication; strong leadership, coaching, and consulting skills. Proficient in Microsoft office suite; demonstrated project management skills. Basic skills in using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
