Position Summary:
Under the direction of the immediate supervisor:
- Participate in research of the gut microbiota in chronic pain.
- Study the role of the gut microbiota in fibromyalgia using established techniques in the field, including fecal microbiota transplantation to germ-free mice, assessment of pain behavior (von Frey, Hargreaves), and investigation of immune status and electrophysiological activity in mice.
- Assist other students with their microbiota-related projects, maintain lab records, and participate in student supervision.
